Florida Heat Adds Elite Catcher Reagan Glanz to 2026 Roster
Reagan Glanz Joins the Florida Heat
The Florida Heat has added another key piece for its inaugural season in the Professional Softball League. Today, owner and head coach Ricky Bumgardner Jr. signed catcher Reagan Glanz to the roster.
Glanz is an elite catcher who also works to develop the next generation behind the plate through her business, Reagan Glanz Catching.
Originally from Aberdeen, Washington, Reagan played collegiately at Newberry College for three seasons, including the COVID shortened 2020 campaign.
In 2023, she transferred to Division II Francis Marion University, where she hit .333 with three home runs, 21 RBIs, and five stolen bases. She finished her college career at Marshall University in 2024 as a graduate senior, batting .250 with three home runs and 19 RBIs.
Glanz will also pursue professional opportunities in Mexico this coming year, having signed with Algodonera UL Softbol. It is shaping up to be an exciting 2026 for her, and Bumgardner Jr. is thrilled to have her as part of the Heat family.
“Signing Reagan Glanz means more to the Florida Heat than adding a catcher, it’s adding a heartbeat. Her presence behind the plate brings confidence, toughness, and trust, and her love for the game is felt in every pitch she receives and every teammate she lifts up. Reagan’s passion, work ethic, and commitment to softball align perfectly with who we are, and we’re incredibly grateful and excited to welcome her into the Heat family.”
Stay tuned for more things from the Florida Heat, as they continue to build towards the inaugural season in 2026.
