Coffel Slugs Her Way to Player of the Series, Garcia Repeats as Top Pitcher
Series Three Awards Highlight Standout Performers
The Athletes Unlimited Softball League is moving right along, already three series in. It’s that time of the week for Player of the Series and Pitcher of the Series announcements, and we now have our first two-time pitcher of the week.
Bandits’ Erin Coffel Named Player of the Series
First, the Player of the Series for series three is Erin Coffel of the Bandits. Coffel was a lightning rod for the Bandits in their latest matchups, homering in both games of the series. Her biggest moment came in the Bandits’ 8-4 win over the Talons, where she launched a grand slam that sealed the victory.

Over her last six games, Coffel is batting .583 with two home runs, 11 RBIs, three runs scored, and a staggering OPS of 2.500.
Rachel Garcia Secures Second Pitcher of the Series Nod
Now for the AUSL’s two-time Pitcher of the Series — Volts veteran pitcher Rachel Garcia. Garcia delivered another gem in the circle, throwing a complete game in Wednesday night’s win over the Blaze. She went the distance, allowing just one run on four hits across seven innings.

Garcia was dominant all night, striking out nine Blaze hitters and keeping them off balance throughout. Her opponent batting average now sits at .160, and her ERA is a clean 1.00 through three series.
