Former Clemson and UNC Star Alex Brown Joins New York Rise
Alex Brown Signs with New York Rise
The New York Rise has signed former Clemson Tiger and North Carolina Tar Heel, Alex Brown. A consistent presence at the top of the lineup, Brown hit a career average of .344 with 13 home runs, 155 runs scored, and 99 RBIs on 221 hits. She tallied 302 total bases across her career, adding 24 doubles and nine triples along the way.
Brown truly came into her own this past season at Clemson, thriving in the leadoff spot with a .519 on-base percentage in 2025. Her ability to set the tone and get on base made a huge impact for the Tigers’ offense. Whether it was laying down a bunt or swinging away, Brown did it.

Defensively, Brown was as steady as they come. She found her groove at third base, holding down the hot corner with a career .923 fielding percentage. Her instincts and leadership made her a key part of Clemson’s infield.
I caught up with Brown following the announcement, and she is excited and ready to take on the next challenge in her softball journey with the New York Rise.
