Oklahoma City Scores 17 Runs in Dominant Win Over TC Colorado in Aurora
Championship Night in Aurora
The TC Pro Cup Championship came down to TC Colorado and the Oklahoma City Spark at Aurora Sports Park in Aurora, Colorado. This anticipated matchup featured two teams familiar with one another, as they have seen each other this week, and eager to close out their week with a trophy.
Kelly Maxwell took the circle for the Spark and retired TC Colorado in order to start the game, setting the tone with a clean frame.
On the other side, Ruby Meylan had the task of facing one of the most dangerous lineups in softball, and she never found her footing. The Spark wasted no time applying pressure.
Oklahoma City Starts Fast
Meylan found herself in a bases loaded, no outs situation with Alyssa Brito at the plate. Brito and Meylan battled through eight pitches before Brito punched an RBI-single through the left side to give the Spark an early 1-0 lead.
Meylan bounced back with a 1-2-3 double play to retire Haley Lee, but her night unraveled quickly from there. After a walk to Sydney Sherrill, Alynah Torres delivered a two-RBI double to push the lead to 3-0. Meylan would exit after just two-thirds of an inning.
Former Tennessee standout Ashley Rodgers entered, but Oklahoma City was not finished. Rachel Becker smoked a two-RBI double into the right center gap, and the Spark had exploded for a 5-0 lead before the first inning was even complete.
TC Colorado Strikes Back
In the top of the second, Arianna Rodi led off with a walk, and after a passed ball and another free pass to Jackie Lis, TC Colorado had something brewing. Amanda Parker loaded the bases with two outs, and Alexis Pupillo broke through with an RBI-single up the middle to make it 5-1.
Jess Oakland followed with a two-RBI single, scoring Lis and Parker, slicing the deficit to 5-3. Kailey Wyckoff then knocked in Pupillo to make it a one-run game. Oakland was thrown out trying to stretch to third, but TC Colorado had plated four runs and pulled within 5-4 heading to the bottom half.
Spark Erupts Again
Whatever momentum TC Colorado gained was short lived. Back-to-back walks to Jayda Coleman and Jocelyn Alo set the stage for Kinzie Hansen, who sent a three-run blast out of the park to give the Spark breathing room again at 8-4.
Maxwell returned in the third and quickly retired the side in order, ending the frame with her third strikeout of the night.
Sam Lincoln entered to pitch the bottom of the third for TC Colorado, after Rodgers walked Rachel Beckerto start things off. Rylie Boone singled and Jayda Coleman recorded an RBI single to bring another run home. Hansen collected another RBI on a groundout, extending the lead to 10-4.
With the bases loaded once more, Haley Lee delivered the dagger; a grand slam to left that pushed the score to 14-4. The Spark offense had officially taken over.
Oklahoma City Closes it Out
Oklahoma City added three more runs to extend their lead to 17-4. The scoring barrage left TC Colorado with one last shot in the fifth. Jess Oakland gave the team a final highlight, launching a solo home run, but it was far from enough.
The Spark secured a 17-5 run-rule victory in five innings to capture the 2025 TC Pro Cup Championship in dominant fashion.
Final Thoughts
Oklahoma City proved once again why they are one of the most powerful teams in the game. After TC Colorado handed the Spark their first loss earlier in the week, Oklahoma City responded when it mattered most.
As for TC Colorado, it was an outstanding run to the championship game. They battled all week and showed their depth and fight. But tonight, they ran into a buzzsaw. There was a lot of talent on this squad, and some will have great season’s coming up in 2026 on their respective teams.
