Former Wildcat Ryan Maddox Joins Washington Softball Pitching Staff
Yesterday, the University of Washington Softball team picked up a transfer commitment from Arizona Wildcats pitcher Ryan Maddox. Maddox, a rising redshirt sophomore, appeared in 20 games last season, including seven starts. Maddox’s opponent batting average was .273 with 24 strikeouts in 43.2 innings pitched.
The Washington Huskies have been a place in the past that has produced great pitchers. Coach Heather Tarr looks to build off of 2025’s production in the circle, where the Huskies finished fifth in the nation in strikeout-to-walk ratio, 370 strikeouts to 100 walks, 3.7 K/BB. Those 370 strikeouts finished top 15 in the nation as well.
Maddox will have three years of eligibility left. Follow us here at Fastpitch Wire, as we continue to bring softball news and coverage.
