Key Player Leaves Rocky Top
The transfer portal keeps on thriving with another big name added today. Tennessee’s Taylor Pannell has entered the portal and has a do not contact tag, first reported by D1Softball’s Justin McLeod. Pannell has been instrumental in Tennessee’s lineup as she started in 122 of the 124 games played. This season, she was selected as an All-American by Softball America and All-SEC First Team. Pannell boasts a .351 career batting average with 25 home runs, 102 RBIs, 83 runs scored, a 1.057 OPS, and a .957 career fielding percentage. Coach Karen Weekly will have a big hole to fill, with Pannell leaving Knoxville.
