Morgan Klaevemann Joins Ole Miss as Assistant Coach
Morgan Klaevemann to Oxford, Mississippi
Today, Coach Jamie Trachsel and Ole Miss softball announced the addition of Morgan Klaevemann to the staff as an assistant coach. Klaevemann comes to Oxford after spending last season in College Station as the Director of Player Development for Texas A&M.
Before her time with the Aggies, Klaevemann spent two seasons at Texas Tech under then head coach Craig Snider. She worked primarily with the outfielders and base runners while also serving as first base coach. Klaevemann was heavily involved with hitters and led offensive scouting during her time in Lubbock.
Klaevemann made her mark right away in Lubbock. Her offensive approach and scouting work showed up in a big way as the Red Raiders set school records in home runs with 74, doubles with 93, and a team slugging percentage of .543 in 2023. Over the course of the 53 game season, Texas Tech homered in 37 games and put together 20 multi home run performances.
As a player, Klaevemann had a standout career at Florida State. She finished her time in Tallahassee with a .361 batting average, 193 runs scored, 126 stolen bases, and 123 walks. Each of those marks ranked her among the top ten in Seminole softball history at the conclusion of her career. Klaevemann was a part of the 2018 FSU national championship team.
With Ole Miss, Klaevemann will contribute across several areas including offensive strategy, baserunning, outfielders, technology, and recruiting. With proven expertise in multiple areas, she is a big addition to Coach Trachsel’s staff.
