OSU Signs Former Georgia Tech Outfielder Kaya Booker
Today, Coach Kenny Gajewski and the Oklahoma State Cowgirls softball program announced the signing of outfielder Kaya Booker, as confirmed by Oklahoma State Athletics.
Booker arrives in Stillwater with four years of eligibility after redshirting her freshman year at Georgia Tech due to injury. While the injury kept her off the field last season, she remains one of the more highly regarded recruits from the 2024 class. Extra Inning Softball ranked her as the No. 33 overall prospect and the No. 24 outfielder in the country.
A graduate of Chattahoochee High School in Georgia, Booker made a big mark at the prep level. She owns several single-season school records, including batting average (.565), hits (54), RBIs (38), and stolen bases (36).
Booker is the third Division I transfer to choose Oklahoma State for the upcoming season, joining utility player Jayden Jones (Virginia Tech) and outfielder Melina Wilkison (Indiana).
She’s thrilled to begin her next chapter in Stillwater.
“Words can’t describe how excited I am to be a Cowgirl,” Booker said. “This program is committed to success on and off the field, which is incredibly special to me. Stillwater is so unique, and I have no doubt that I’ll be challenged here. I’m looking forward to being surrounded by girls and coaches who have a high standard for excellence.”
