Ole Miss Freshman All-American Miali Guachino Looking for New Home
One of the top freshman arms in the country is on the move.
Ole Miss pitcher Miali Guachino has entered the transfer portal following an impressive debut season in Oxford. The right-hander from Pala, California, appeared in 38 games and made 26 starts as a true freshman in 2025. She finished with a 14-11 record, a 3.65 ERA, and 160 strikeouts over 136 innings pitched, holding opposing hitters to a .226 average.
Guachino’s efforts didn’t go unnoticed. She was named a D1Softball Freshman All-American and also landed on the NFCA Freshman of the Year Top 25 watch list. Her breakout moment came on February 13 against Southern Miss, when she pitched a season-high 9.2 innings and struck out a staggering 19 batters.
With her name now in the portal, Guachino instantly becomes one of the more intriguing arms available this summer. Wherever she lands, they’re getting a competitor with three years of eligibility left, stamina, and swing-and-miss stuff right out of the gate.
