Former Cal Infielder Mia Phillips Transfers to UCLA for Sophomore Season
Cal transfer Mia Phillips has landed at UCLA. Phillips spent her freshman season in Berkeley and had a standout year. She was named to the All-ACC Freshman Team and started all 58 games. Last season, Phillips posted a .315 batting average with four home runs, 33 RBIs, and 28 runs scored. She was also an extra-base machine, tallying 10 doubles and five triples. Using her speed, she also snagged six stolen bases.
Defensively, Phillips recorded 82 putouts, 87 assists, and finished with a .949 fielding percentage. She now joins Soo-Jin Berry and Brynne Nally as part of UCLA’s transfer class so far this offseason.
