Mizzou Softball Welcomes Jenny Putnam as New Director of Operations

After spending 15 years on Coach Robin Pingeton’s women’s basketball staff as an assistant coach and the last two years as Mizzou Women’s Basketball Director of Operations, softball head coach Larissa Anderson announced today that Jenny Putnam will serve as the new Director of Softball Operations, according to Mizzou Athletics.
Putnam has been a vital part of the women’s basketball program, handling recruiting efforts where she became known as a top-notch recruiter, along with overseeing the daily organization of the team under Coach Pingeton. She followed Pingeton to Mizzou after spending seven years on her staff at Illinois State before their move to Columbia, Missouri.
Coach Robin Pingeton announced back in February that she would be stepping away after the 2024-2025 season. Now, Putnam makes the transition over to the softball program.
Softball has always been part of Putnam’s background. She was a two-sport standout at St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, earning NAIA All-American honors in both basketball, where she played for Coach Pingeton, and softball, where she excelled as an outfielder.
