Florida Atlantic Adds Star Power to Staff with Brown and Minnick
FAU Adds Former Standouts Alex Brown and Taylor Minnick to Coaching Staff
The Florida Atlantic Owls softball program announced the addition of two Graduate Assistants to its staff. Joining the program are Alex Brown, a former UNC Tar Heel and Clemson Tiger, and Taylor Minnick, the former Indiana Hoosier.
Alex Brown put together a stellar collegiate career, hitting .344 with 13 home runs, 155 runs scored, and 99 RBIs on 221 total hits. She racked up 302 total bases and added 24 doubles and nine triples along the way. Brown is wrapping up her first season of professional softball with the New York Rise.
Taylor Minnick was a consistent force at the plate throughout her time in Bloomington, finishing her career with a .390 batting average. She totaled 45 home runs, 61 doubles, 234 hits, and 204 RBIs as a Hoosier. Her 2025 season was the best of her career. The First-Team All-American slashed .484/.592/1.019 and crushed 18 home runs, 26 doubles, and drove in 71 RBIs.
