Former Ole Miss Standout Named Director of Operations for Rebels Softball
Former Ole Miss Rebel Delaney Rummell is the new Director of Operations in Oxford, according to the Ole Miss Softball media release.
Rummell played for the Rebels during the 2024 season after transferring from Illinois. She hit .251 with three home runs and 24 RBIs over 58 starts in her only season in Oxford.
A former All-Big Ten selection and member of the Big Ten All-Defensive Team, Rummell brings both high-level playing experience and professional leadership development to her new role. While at Illinois, Rummell hit a career .271 average with 24 home runs, 111 RBIs, and 77 runs scored with 22 stolen bases.
Most recently, she worked with the NCAA in leadership development, where she managed travel logistics and communication for consultants, speakers, and program participants. She also helped plan and implement programs designed to educate and empower student-athletes, coaches, and administrators in leadership development.
