John Rittman Gets Channell from FAU
The Clemson Tigers have made a move in the portal and have received rising junior Kiley Channell, an infielder from FAU. Channell is a career .331 hitter with 3 home runs, 79 RBIs, and 63 runs scored on 114 hits. Channell is also a doubles machine, with 33 in two years at FAU, and led the team with 14 in 2025.
Channell had a team-best eight advances via the sacrifice bunt in 2025. With the way Clemson used Alex Brown in the lead-off spot, it sounds like Channell would fit well there.
On the fielding side, Kiley Channell was a reliable shortstop for the Owls but could play other spots in the infield. With the graduations of Maddie Moore and Alex Brown, second and third bases will need filling. This will be an interesting thing to keep an eye on, as Marian Collins played the shortstop position very well as a freshman in 2025. Channell has a career fielding percentage of .960.
