Grace Jenkins is a Wildcat!
Arizona Softball is adding a game-changer with the transfer of catcher Grace Jenkins from UConn, bringing one of the nation’s most productive hitters to Tucson ahead of the 2026 season. Jenkins is fresh off a historic year where she was named BIG EAST Player of the Year, hitting .424 with 21 home runs, 68 RBIs, and a .906 slugging percentage while starting all 54 games for the Huskies. She shattered six single-season program records, including doubles, home runs, RBIs, runs scored, walks, and total bases, and finished the year riding a 32-game on-base streak while recording 18 multi-hit games.
Jenkins also excelled behind the plate, posting a .990 fielding percentage while managing UConn’s pitching staff with steady leadership. Her powerful bat, ability to get on base, and veteran presence will add immediate impact to the Wildcats’ lineup as they look to push deeper into the postseason next spring. Arizona is getting a proven difference-maker in Jenkins, one who can anchor the lineup and provide stability behind the dish from day one in Tucson.
